Stigterstaal supplies steel plates in grades including EH36 + Z35 + UT. This type of steel is used by all the major shipbuilders, ship repair yards, and offshore fabricators. We hold Europe’s largest stock, so we can always supply immediately in any situation.
Z grade
Some parts of the structure of a vessel are subject to exceptional requirements as regards the tensile strength and thickness of the steel. The factory also takes additional measures to combat pollution elements (such as sulphur). This is subsequently tested by means of a US test and a Z15, Z25 or Z35 thickness test. All this is in accordance with the EN10164 standard.
